Who writes MoneyLens
MoneyLens is written with the help of AI tools and reviewed by the site owner. We say this plainly because you should know how the content is made. We do not publish invented author names, credentials or testimonials, and nothing here is personalized financial advice.
How the numbers are checked
- Open calculators. Every figure quoted in a guide is meant to be reproducible: guides link to the calculator that produces it, and each calculator states its assumptions on the page.
- Automated tests. The formulas behind the calculators are covered by automated tests that run before every release, and the same calculation code that is tested is what runs in your browser.
- Worked examples. Numeric examples in guides are generated from the calculators’ default inputs, not typed in by hand.
Sources
Where a guide relies on rules or figures set by others (tax limits, deposit insurance, inflation targets), we link to the primary source, such as the IRS, the CFPB or the Federal Reserve, and tell you to confirm current numbers there. Rates, fees and limits change; guides show an updated date so you can judge how current they are.
Independence
Advertisers and affiliate partners do not review or influence our calculations or guides. Affiliate links, when we have them, are labeled. See the disclosure.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email hello@example.com. We aim to review reports promptly, fix confirmed errors and update the page’s date. Material corrections are noted on the page.
Update cadence
Guides and calculators are reviewed at least a few times a year, and the provider list is re-checked on a regular schedule. An automated monthly job also rebuilds the site and checks external links.
