Calculator inputs

Your inputs are calculated in your browser. As you type they are also added to the page address (the ?query part) so pages can be bookmarked or shared. If you reload, bookmark or share that address, those values are sent to our host and to any analytics tools, like any other URL. Do not enter anything you would not want in a link.

Data we and our host process

• Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request details (page, browser, time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Analytics. If enabled, we use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views. It does not track you across sites.
• Newsletter. If a sign-up form is shown, the email address you submit is processed by our email provider to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Local storage on your device

We store two small values in your browser’s local storage: ml-theme (your light/dark choice) and, if ads are enabled, ml-consent (your cookie choice). They never leave your device and you can clear them at any time.

Advertising and cookies

If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. Ad scripts load only after you accept in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice later using “Cookie settings” in the footer. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

When you follow an affiliate link, the partner may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. Their privacy policy applies on their site.

Legal bases and retention

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests (running and securing the site, basic measurement) and on your consent (advertising cookies, newsletter). Server and analytics logs are kept only as long as our hosting and analytics providers retain them, typically weeks to months; newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. We collect very little; contact hello@example.com with any request.

Your California privacy rights

California residents may request to know, delete or correct personal information we hold about them, and may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money; ad cookies from advertising partners may count as “sharing” under California law, which you can decline in the cookie banner or by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer (shown when ads are enabled). Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
